At St. Gabriel, the Sacrament of Baptism is a joyful celebration in which a child or adult is welcomed into the Catholic Church and becomes a member of the Body of Christ. Through Baptism, we are cleansed of original sin, reborn as children of God, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For infants and young children, parents are asked to participate in a Baptism Preparation session to better understand the meaning of the sacrament and their responsibility to raise their child in the Catholic faith. Godparents are also called to actively support the child’s spiritual growth and practice of the faith.
Baptisms are celebrated according to the parish schedule, and families are encouraged to contact the parish office to begin the preparation process, confirm requirements, and select a date. Baptism is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, and St. Gabriel rejoices in welcoming new members into our parish family through this beautiful sacrament. For more information, please contact the parish office.
