 International Festival !!

The 2026 St. Gabriel International Festival appears to have been another success.  The crowds were large and seemed to have a good time.   We did fairly well monetarily but did pay new highs for security, signage/shirts, spent the entertainment budget, and spent more on supplies for food and beverage. In August, we will have a breakdown of our our financial gain.

One of our big wins was the effort that our parish put forward on Thursday, May 28; Friday, May 29; and Saturday, May 30.  Our parish youth, young adults and adults put a great effort to bring the festival to life.   Parishioners worked together tirelessly for those three days.  For this we thank all who participated.  This is why our festival is successful. 

Another victory for the parish was the St. Gabriel Ministry tent.  Our ministries had a strong showing to the west-side community.  It was open, friendly, and reached out to invite those who are looking for a spirital home to join the parish of St. Gabriel.  We need to support this effort by engaging with those who come to St. Gabriel because of their invitation from the ministries. This is what will make our parish stronger.

Please continue to do business with our festival sponsors who have been listed in the bulletin for the last four weeks.   We encourage each of you to work to find more sponsors for 2027.  This appears to be the best way for St. Gabriel to increase its festival profits.

We also encourage you to become more active in pre-festival and post-festival activities. Many hands make lighter work for the difficult task of planning, setting-up and tearing down the materals needed for the festival.  Please make a committment now to be more involved in the time leading up to and after the 2027 festival.  Many of the leaders of the 2026 festival will be stepping down, and it is time for new people and the next ideas.
