Before & After 360 Degree Panoramas

In May 2010 we took a series of photographs of our church interior and our lobby before the renovation project began. The photographs were taken from a tripod in the center of our church as well as from one corner of our lobby. Then a few weeks ago in late March 2011 a similar set of images were taken from the same locations showing our renovated church and gathering space. The photos were assembled into a 360 degrees panoramic view. We've stacked these "before & after" images on top of one another for comparison. Check out these images and see how you can order a poster displaying these beautiful panoramas.

360 Degree Panorama of Church Before Renovation
When our church renovation is complete, we are going to want to compare the old and the new. We came up with the idea to take "before" and "after" images of the church. On Friday, May 28 we took a series of 11 photographs from a tripod in the center of the church. The photos were assembled into a 360° panorama that is over 34.5 megapixels. When our renovation is complete we will make a similar panorama for comparison.

Video of Parish Meeting About Our Future
After the 12 noon Mass there was a special meeting to vote on a proposal which Father Larry Crawford had presented at all of the Sunday Masses that day. The proposal was to use part of our capital funds to pay down half of our approximatly $750,000 debt with the remainder to be paid over 10 years at $20,000 per year interest free. The archdiocese would write down $20,000 per year matching. The remainder of the capital funds would be used to renovate and revitalize our existing church rather than build a new one.

Video of Mass of Appreciation for Father Larry
On December 19, 2008 the students and staff of St. Gabriel School had a surprise for our pastor Father Larry. He thought it was an ordinary weekday school Mass on the last day of school before Christmas Vacation. Instead the children turned it into a special tribute for him beginning with donning masks of his face as he looked throughout the years. They had lots of other special gifts for him including photos of him going back as far as his childhood. Check out this four-part YouTube video of the festivities.
